American Idol

Ok, ok. I have been watching this season of American Idol for the past couple of weeks and its got me thinking. The first few seasons I was OBSESSED with watching and voting for my favorites. Then, I got busy and it felt like the show was becoming overrated. Once I heard Jordan Sparks on the radio, from last season, I started to get interested again. So my parents have been taping it and I keep up. Here lies my disappointment. There aren't many GREAT singers this season! There are a few good ones (David Archuleta, Carly Smithson, David Hernandez, Asia'h Epperson and Syesha Mercado), but none that I am a huge fan of. On earlier seasons there were singers who just gave me the chills when they sang and this season lacks that all-important factor. Hopefully the judges are right and the song choices could have been better; maybe someone will step it up and surprise us all! I know my fingers are crossed...
